Hello, I was just wondering if you guys could help me decipher this schematic? I'm pretty bad with electricity and the physics of energy and all that, but I know some basics. Basically I need help with the following diagram with parts circled in grey:
1. the inputs to the NAND gates... is this just one wire split into two?
2. what do these symbols mean? Is this a ground symbol? and if so, can I connect all "grounds" to the same grounded spot?
3. Not sure what these symbols mean either (the two same-length, vertical lines with one bold... around the NAND gates)
4. the VCC's and VEE's - I understand these are the power (+/- 5v in this case), but should I just connect a power input wire wherever there's a VCC and the output wire (negative) wherever there's a VEE?
5. Not sure what these symbols are either? they look like capacitors without the straight line (only the half circle)
Also for the op-amps, there's only one output coming from the point of the triangle, but what are the VCC's and VEE's doing there? (How/where do I connect these if there are only three places to connect (+ terminal, - terminal, and "output" terminal (coming out from triangle point)?
Lastly, in terms of wiring... could I connect wires exactly as they are in the schematic (obviously only making connections where they are implied)? Like near the top right, after the PNP but before the NPN, after the 1k resistor where the wire from the 1.8k resistor connects - in terms of wires could that wire coming from the 1k be sheathed and just connected to the NPN, but before the NPN also have a thin segment of that same wire (from the 1k) unsheathed and have the wire coming from the 1.8k connected at that unsheathed junction? Is that how all this works?
Thanks for all your time and help.
