Class D amplifier Applications

Hi guys!

well! i want to ask you a very simple question.

which are the devices or applications which involve Class D amplifiers in their circuitry. Please provide me any link to their block diagram so that i can figure out how class D amplifier is used in them

Class-D amplifiers are used in audio systems that need a low battery current and/or as audio amplifiers that produce low heating that is needed in LCD monitors.

Texas Instruments make many class-D amplifier ICs.

1- How is the quality and distortion in Class-D amplifiers in compare with usual Class-AB PA?

2- How is the Power efficiency in  Class-D amplifiers in compare with usual Class-AB PA.
As I remeber efficiency in Class AB was something around 78%. How about class D
