Hi Ante, yes i have tried google and found some useful commutation circuits..

Actually it's for my project, I want to build DC-DC converter with thyristor as the switch, so i need
find some commutation circuits..

Do you know any interesting books to read on about how to interface thyristor in
power converter applications ?

Well commutating circuits r used for ac as well...
if we want only a lil part of the phase to coduct to the load  .. we wud need the commutation circuit.. wudnt we ??

Yes shobhitkukreti, we were talkin about line commutated thyristors specially for SCR device..

Any ideas what book to read on ?
