Compact Fluorescents with LED nightlight

Hi All

I have bought a Philips Compact Fluorescent from B&Q Liverpool UK for 6.98
GBP I remember a few weeks ago someone else buying one of these Lamps

I am Curious of how they work especally when first energised the LED lights
then if you switch the lamp off then back on withing 3 to 5 seconds the main
Compact Fluorescent then energises operate the switch it goes back to the
LED mode

this is enclosed in a bulb shape to resemble a GLS lamp and are rated 9
watts which gives about the same light as a 40watt GLS lamp
