Confused with diodes

I'm a rookie in Electronics, just started my course. I wish to convert low voltage low amp (12V 1A) AC of high frequency (100 KHz) to DC. Which diode can I use that would be in budget? Can I use UF4007 for this work? A bridge rectifier with UF4007 would work for me?

You don't need a UF4007, which is rated at 1000V. A UF4001 (rated at 50V) would be better since it has faster recovery time than UF4007.
