I need some help , im looking for a electronic infa-red beam breaking kit but comes with something that is portable and can break the beam so that not just anything can go through it , only a specific object can go through it . A good example would be goal line technology , having a sensor beam across the goal line and then implanting a certain object in the ball that triggers a light or noise when the ball crosses the line , any links or pics would be helpful.
well for a start the infra-red beam isnt going to see anything inside the ball. As a result it isnt going to differentiate between a player, ball, or a bit of wind blown rubbish crossing the goal line.
Any sensor would have to be RF related. Like the RFID tag system used in shops for detecting unpaid goods going out the door
I'm feeling deja-vue here, this is an exact repeat of a project from about a year ago either on this forum or another electronics forum
