Does anybody know where to get a data sheet on this audio jack device?
Foxconn JA23332-810
I tried datasheetarchieve. It shows a small copy of the data sheet, but when I click on it,
alls I get is a title page from Foxconn, with no data on it at all.
(Maybe my computer settings?)
This is apparently an old device, the device listed on the Foxconn website is for the
same device with an extended suffix, which probably denotes RoHS compliance, but
who knows what other changes they may have done with it.
Thanks

Well, obviously Foxconn website is where the datasheet problem starts.
I checked GonzoEngineer's supplied website directly to Foxconn, when you click on
the 'spec' tab to get the data sheet, you get a blank title page (and I'm on a different
computer, so it's not ME).
Thanks for the direction, but I'm still without the data sheet I need.
Hope somebody else has another idea to try, I'm out of them.

It works for me, I can see the specsheet.....

The problem has to be on your end.

If you want, PM me with an e-mail. I will download it and send it to you directly.

Will do, thanks.
Wonder what's wrong with the computers I'm using.

Didn't get the data sheet yet.
If I used this site correctly, I sent you a 'private message', top right side of top of this
page to access it. Thanks.

I was able to get the English translation on that site, I just can't get the darned
data sheet itself (Which I would prefer in English also).
I know they make the device, obviously quite a few of them made it to our shores
also, now I'm just trying to find-out what's inside of it.

I was able to download the spec-sheet (from datasheetarchive), but my Adobe reader says it's secured and requires a third party plug in to show more than the heading.

I don't know what that entails, but it sounds like I'm going to be locked out of it.
Thanks for the effort.
Looks like the Red Chinese are getting proprietary with their info.

I believe the secured thing has something to do with datasheetarchive, while the plugin thing might originate from the manufacturer.
Do you have the 78.5kB file? There were too many possible 3rd party plugins available at Adobe for me to want to try them all out.

This is a very old post, but I found the Foxconn data sheet. I just wanted to provide the information I found in the event somebody else ever needs it. (My 2012 post still showed-up in a Google search)
Foxconn JA23332-810 J=Jack, A=Audio Jack, 2=2 Stack, 3=With Bushing, 3=Plug Type 3-Band, 3=Plug Diameter 3.5mm (0.141"), 2=Gold Plating, (DASH) 8=Schematic, 1=With Shell, 0=Tail Length 3.2mm
Durability 5000 cycles, 15 Position, Voltage Rating 150V max, Current Rating 1A, Housing Thermoplastic UL 94V-0, Contact Copper Alloy,
Metal Spring Copper Alloy, Op Temp 0 to +85 Degrees C.
I don't know what these were originally installed in, but that's the data if anyone ever looks for info on this connector.
As a side-note: Most earbud plug lengths are 15mm, but with the extended external barrel bushing on this connector, the plug needs to
be 20mm long to fully insert, to contact all of the jack's 3-band stereo contacts, so you can't just insert the standard 15mm length earbud
plugs that I have and expect this connector to engage all three stereo contacts.

Hello,

Good you found the datasheet.
Could you post the datasheet here for later reference?

Yep, that's me on eBay. The 'data sheet' I found was not a downloadable one. I just looked at the limited information I found from
somebody else that was utilizing that connector, and absconded with their old information. I'm thinking it's an obsolete connector,
but I have a couple trays of them that I'm seeing if anybody finds a use for.
Over my 50+ years as a tech, many companies I worked for required me to stock a minimum inventory of my own parts before they
authorized me to service their equipment. I've said many times I've forgotten more about equipment I've worked on (included exactly
what I had to buy my inventory of parts for), than I'd ever have time to learn again.
Now I'm sitting on a vast inventory of old/obsolete parts that I'm selling to pay my living expenses with. (for as long as they, or I, last).
