Has anyone experienced different colour room lighting, if so which colour did you prefer?

Has anyone experience being in a room lit with different colours (one at a time).

If so which did you find best or was one good some time and another one at another time?

In my youth I frequented many rooms with different colours.
Some were a single colour while others had several colours blending together.
I think my favourite colour was when I was staring out of the window at the sun.
It was a gorgeous orange, I could see the flares too. But then it started dripping until the whole sun was like lava on the horizon.

I stopped eating mushrooms after that.
Martin.

I have a 10watt rgb lamp in the bedroom a 20watt blue lamp in the lounge and 20watts of red in kitchen..

Bathroom 1watt pink and 20ma uv ..

... blue i must say is nice and calming, red is dull even when pulling 2amps at 10v compared to blue..

Green, i've got but never used, i should replace the red light with green see if it's any more calming ....

Are you asking about colour temperatures, or flat out colors?
To be honest, it's hard for me to tell if I'm in a cool white or warm white room if I don't have a reference.
Additionally, I used to work in a call center that had very vibrant wall colors... so one room would seem purple, and once you were used to it.. the lighting felt white again... until you moved to a different room.
If you want to use a specific colored light (red, blue, purple, green, etc. ) Then everyone has their preference.
It makes certain object in the room hard to see properly.. (ie, one or more buttons on a game controller will appear extremely dull, or if the colors line up just right, some colors will apear flat out .. black.
