What do you want to do to your radio? Make it a different colour? ???
I modified my cheap, little clock radio and now it sounds excellent with plenty of bass from its 3" speaker. ;D

Hi

There is an IC: "TDA7000". It is a complete radio IC. I couldn't find it in my area but I think you can.
It is really easy to build a radio with using this IC.

Hi Shahriar,
In Google, enter in the search box Silicon Chip Micromitter.
The 1st link is their FM stereo transmitter project that is rock-stable due to its crystal-controlled phase-locked-loop adjustable tuning system and other good stuff. It has an attenuator on its output to limit its range to meet Australia's laws.
The main IC is from Rhom (in the Orient), who made a previous crappy radio IC something like the Philips one. Check out rhom.com, they make lotsa good stuff.

Philips still makes crappy radio IC's, but they use "scanning" for tuning and are tiny surface-mount only. I think the part number is TDA7015 or something close. Chinese companies make cheaper copies. ;D
