Help with 864 5020 install

I have installed a 5020 v3.24 and a 5500Z v3.1. I initally did testing
with these basic components and all worked well. I just added three
5108's and a 5400z keypad. I got this 5400z on eBay sold as a 5500z.
Anyways, after power up the 5500z kp was operating fine, but the 5400z
kp would do nothing but display "Partition 2 Unavailable". I left it
power up for a while and without doing anything the known good keypad
acted like the 5400z. This seems really strange it will display time
date, but when I press a key, it displays "Partition 2 Unavailable",
no backlight either.
My troubleshooting went as far as removing everything from the keybus
except the known good kp, that gave same results. I also tried holding
the '1' key down on each keypad, no response. What can I try now? Is
there anyway to reset 5020 or 5500z?

Never heard of a 5400Z keypad, are you sure its the proper revision for that
panel?

Also you might have partition 2 enabled but no zones programmed for that
partition

I think the 5400Z is used for the Maxsys system. It is not compatible with
the 864.

First try hold a few seconds "#", and then "1". After that try turn on
supervisory for modules section (902) or (903).Hardware reset : disconect
both power suplies, disconect all wires from zone 1, and conect with PGM 1,
turn power on for few seconds and then diconect from power. I hope that I
help you.

That would be the 4500 and the 4501. I haven't heard of a 5400 either, but
could it be a model made for a foreign market?

Checked the keypad address? Is the 1st digit a '2' for partition 2?

It is actually labeled 4500z and works just like my 5500z with my 5020
system. The # key worked for me to switch partitions at the keypad.
All is up an running. Thank you i!
