Hi
I recently bought a Rapoo v780s keyboard. since it was an online purchase I couldn’t test the keyboard and later I found out that the ESC key was not working. I can’t send the keyboard back.
At first, I thought it was the mechanical switch but after opening it up I found out the problem was because of a missing component on the board. Rapoo does not use conventional mechanical switches such as Cherry mx or Gateron and uses its proprietary technology.
I attached the images, I guess that the keys work by forming a magnetic field when the rod inside the switch is lowered but I’m not sure. Under all the keys are two (maybe) capacitors but as you can see the ESC key is missing one.
I guess that the missing piece is a capacitor but I’m not sure what kind.
Please help me find this component.
