Is there a show like New Yankee Workshop for electronics?

I want to see a show where a master electrical engineer builds things and explains what he's doing while he makes the project. Is there anything like that? I watch EEVBlog sometimes, but Dave is way above my level and I have no idea what he's doing or saying most of the time. Plus he mostly does teardowns from what I've seen, and I'd rather watch something being made. Any suggestions?
