LCD driver test

This is the backside of my radio LCD board. It's 5v regulated and the big rect chip is the driver. The other chip is the MCU that's required by the driver. The top has a momentary push on- off + volume, and a squelch pot.
Where would I apply the 5v to test the LCD?

You haven't a clue what you're doing, won't take advice on it and continuously poke about doing things that will inevitably lead to further problems thus compounding the issue.

Applying power would test nothing in relation to the display as it requires signals to show anything.
Goto #2 above....

So I should learn something as I go..(hopefully). Got it! When I test this with my diode tester, it reads 1395 one way and 1271 the other. It's a voltage regulator, and I was informed that it should read about half, one way: where
if it was 2 one way it should read 4 the other way. And although this often true, my basic education tells me that if signal exists then the device is ok... Stuck here, just ignore me ...

It's 121.7 ohms one way and 8.7 ohms the other way

None of these resistors, which surround the mpu, that runs the driver for the LCD, can be tested for any signal. My meter doesn't give any reading. Is that normal?

the components down the right side and along the bottom are capacitors, not resistors

You NEVER even stated what was supposed to be wrong with the LCD panel, which you havent even shown

Chances are you are only going to make any problems worse by your mucking around with something that you dont understand

why are you probing around in there with a diode tester ??
