LCD with through hole pins

Hello, I have an lcd from an e scooter which works but has missing segments and I was wondering if there is a way of bringing the missing segments back please?

Some pins soldering looks marginal, like



Solder not wicked / flowed well on pin. Use liberal flux to get it to "take" to pin.
I see several in the joints between boards.

I was wondering if I can’t work out the issue I have this spare display witch the wiring layout is described in the picture but it has one 6 pin connector whereas my one has one 5 pin connector and one separate connector for the blue wire witch does not connect to anything it stays unplugged. Could I use the spare display but solder the old connector onto the spare display matching the colours but leave the blue wire unattached as they are both 24v displays?

That depends:

1. color coding is not standardized. There are 120 possible assignements of color to function. So the chance that colors match is 1 in 120.
2. even more important is the controller on the LCD's PCB. The controller of the "new" LCD has to be compatibel, if not identical, to the controller on the old LCD.
