HI

I have a requirement to measure a sensor input which lies in the range 0-100V.

The current measuring circuit that I'd like to implement this around is at +/- 12V.

I thought that it may be possible to use some form of opto-isolator but have no experience with these devices.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please...?

Please give more information on what you want to do.

Almost any multimeter will be able to measure voltage up to 100V.

The circuit I'm looking at is embedded in an existing instrument and we need to update one of the inputs so that instead of referencing 6-9V (as it does at the moment) we need to use a much higher Voltage.

The OP Amp on the input stage has a supply Voltage of +/- 12V and would really like to re-use as much of the existing stuff as possible.

I thought about using some form of opto-coupler or similar device with an isolated front end, but it something I've not attempted before.

Thanks

Do they share a common ground? If so, a voltage divider might be all you need.
