This in my current mr. Fix it project the Roland mt-32 is a secondary sound generator module that plays at the same time as your keyboards built in synth, for more and different sounds at the same time. MIDI is primarily plug and play.. ( pnp) so there really aren't any legacy directives. Roland created a slew of these devices, and tried to incorporate scsi as a simple interface.. duh. But that's another story. The condition of this device is now dead, after opening the case, and resetting the cables. Now, I have a dilemma. The pin out in the picture looks like one of those soldered through the pins connector which I broke on a project once, because I tried to pull the plug out and it wasn't removable. Is there a way to tell the difference between a pin connector and a soldered connector?
