The Zumo 450 audio output is overcome by wind noise at freeway speeds. Am currently using earbuds from the zumo to my helmet. Would like to find some sort of mini amp I could install under the bike seat and electrically connect between the Zumo and an earphone. The amp should be 12VDC and have some sort of control that I can operate while riding. Maybe there is some sort of earphone that already satisfys the requirement.

Any ideas? Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,Welcome to our forum. ;D
There are many small speaker amplifier ICs that will boost the output of earbuds.
But the maximum allowable power will be exceeded so the earbuds will break. Hopefully before you become deaf.

Just about any general purpose OPAMP will do fine. Try an LM324, not great for sound quality but who cares in this case. Look it up on the web and you'll find plenty of circuit diagrams to build from.

I used to make them like this as guitar practice headphone amplifiers.
