Mobile camera!

does anyone of u know that we can see an IR led glow with the help of a mobile phone or any other digital camera.
does anyone know why is it so?
if anyone comes to know pls share ur views.

Many digital cameras have a larger receptive spectrum than the human eye this is why we can see IR through a camera!

Ante is right but:
I can just about see a dim light from the LED on my car's central locking remote control.

LEDs often emmit some visible light too, whether you can see it or not depends on the wavelength of the LED, whether it has a filter and how good your eyes are at the red end of the spectrum.
