Hi everybody... I'm new here, and looking for some help with something that I think is pretty simple, but I'm not sure.

Basically, I need to use a piezo electric transducer as a momentary switch in order to control a drum-sampling program. I have no trouble making the program, and can control it fine with regular toggle switches (joystick buttons, keyboard presses, etc.), but in order for it to be useful, I need instead to create a switch using a simple piezoelectric transducer. Any thoughts?

Since the normal operation of a momentary switch actually breaks the circuit, that's where I'm stuck. with a p.e.t., the circuit will never be broken-- instead, i'll generate a very small voltage off of the transducer and need that voltage to make the switch trigger...

I hope that's enough of an explanation... Please let me know if you have any suggestions!

thanks,
Roland
