Hi all, need some help with wiring my receivers wiring as i do not know much about electronics.I have the power supply wired up and the receiver does receive transmissions from my transmitter and the relay can be heard switching but i am having difficulties with getting an output from it. I would like to be able to connect it to my motor which has 2 leads running from it. A simple positive and negative wiring system which turns it on when it receives power. I've tried every combination of wiring but im not getting anywhere so i thought id ask for help.

Link to the products installation manual: (http://www.nortekcontrol.com/pdf/manuals/XR-1.pdf)

Thanks for any help, i really do appreciate it.

The relay is just a "Dry Contact", in other words it does not supply it's own voltage. You need a voltage source to supply power through the relay contacts to your motor. All this relay is doing is acting as a switch.

From installation manual - " The receiver output provides Isolated N/O and N/C relay contacts..."
