Hello I am starting to expand my handy venue by entering the electronic side of life. I will be starting a few projects in the near future, one of witch will be trying to build a set of timers for Christmas lights.

Welcome... May I suggest as a newbie you stick to low voltage battery experiments with minimal risk vs potentially lethal mains voltage and the risk of burning down a structure?
