Good Day To you All

During risk assessment of crane remote control operability range, it was found that the remote it operates the crane even from outside hall. Therefore, it was found it's not safe to operate the crane out of vicinity, remote control supplier was approached for reducing the range which they confirmed it's not possible.

we have an idea of modifying the remote with sound alarm whenever the remote is taken out side the hall. Or whenever the remote is out the hall the remote power supply has to be switched off automatically.

So please if u have an idea of implementation this idea or how to build such this circuit, or if u have any idea where to find an equipment to do this (reducing freq. range or the above suggestions.

please as soon as possible.

Hi MAA,

Welcome to our forum.

Why not use the same kind as used in a department store to protect from theft. You put one of those “radar reflector” tags on the remote and the sensor equipment by the door (doors). This might also be the safest way since you do not have to tamper with the remote control circuit.

Hi Ante

many thanks to u, We r not afraid from theft, but we don't want the remote control to operate outside the hall or at least to give an alarm for safety reasons. Thats it ;)

Thank u again

Well, it won’t be too hard to use the output from the sensors to just alert the person carrying the remote or if you like switch of the power to the crane when the remote leaves the room.

Hi,
I have an idea of a circuit with a range of frequencey suitable for that hall and whenever the remote control is out side the hall there will be a signal to cutt off the power supply from the remote control.

So if u can improve the idea.

I don't know it may work or not

just an idea!!

Hi MAA,

Which ever way you chose, it’s never safe to modify or tamper with the original circuit! Keep the circuits separately or someone might get hurt.
