Hello all, I was wondering if anyone can help with a little problem...
I have an 18v DC motor which is currently being powered by a lithium ion battery. I would like to power it with a power supply instead (240v AC i/p). When running (not under load) current is around 7amps. Under load is around 14 amps, however the motor spikes to 31 amps upon startup for less than a second.
I'm not that knowledgeable with power supplies - are they able to cope with the spike or do I need to have everything rated to 32 amps plus?
Thanks in advance, Laurence
