Hey guys,

I'm a newbie to this site. Been looking around and I think I've hit the jackpot! There is a wealth of community information here and I hope you lot can help me.

I've been working on a lighting control system for my living room at home. I have a bunch of different lights linked to relays. I want to control them with momentary switches which "load" a preset for mood/ambiance, ie, "The Old Barry White" Setting and "Dinner and a Movie" setting etc etc....

This is a diagram of the problem I'm having:

Each Output from Component X goes to a different combination of relays via dip switches with diodes to stop feedback switching.

I initially thought of using D-Type flip-flops as component X but it doesn't seem to want to work.

Any help/advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sincerely

Zac

Yes, this is the job for a Data type flip flop but you can wire other flip-flops to do that as well. Anyway, your thinking is right, you have probably made a mistake with your hardware. Can you post a schematic of how you would wire your D-flip flop? Whats V+?

Hey, thanks for the quick reply!

I've not drawn up a schematic, but I'll throw one together very soon and post it on here.

Cheers

Zac
