what do you expect, you constantly goad them about their country, usually
in a highly antagonistic manner. USians are fervently nationalistic, so
thats pretty much guaranteed to get the responses you do.
Likewise if you give my country shit, expect to get roasted in return
(unless I happen to agree with you![]()
but FFS try and at least use adult insults. All you have succeeded in
doing is making yourself look completely stupid, worse than even MP and
Phil, who although sounding psychotic, at least sound like psychotic
adults.
Do yourself a favour, post something about electronics design.
Thank you for agreeing that ensure and insure DO NOT mean the same thing !
And they all mean different things. Unfortunately sloppy US use of English has
confused you.
You *DO* ? So why did you say insure and ensure mean the same ?
No. Well you could take out an insurance policy in case of the problem I guess.
That means yet something else still.
And they all mean different things. Unfortunately sloppy US use of English has

The etymology is circa 1440, you stupid ****.
That would be the etymology of the word INSURE, and that as being
derived FROM the word ENSURE.
Wanna try again, dipshit?

with a high voltage NPN but got not much info IIRC.
I have a large
collection of old tube type test gear I'd like to keep running.
I do recall an article in Wireless World (UK) but it wasn't terribly
informative.

context for the word.

Many REAL men in your country will help

Up until GW2 we have been involved in every major conflict of the 20th
and 21st centuries, despite never having been attacked by anyone. Not
that invading us would be that difficult - we no longer have any planes
with guns. I think we should hire Saudi pilots, that way we can have
some offensive air capability!
The real problem is $$$, a modern air force is appallingly expensive,
and we are pretty darned small - most big cities have more people than NZ.
Of course if anyone did invade us, they would discover that kiwis have
33x as many guns as our army (1 million c.f. 30,000), are extremely
inventive, and *really* dont like being pushed around.

How about usage in the moden context rather than 1440 ?
Insure means insurance. To insure against loss. A financial remedy to compensate for
loss.
Ensure mean to make sure something gets done.
Assure is different still.
Like Iraq tyou mean ?
War for silly reasons isn't popular here even with the Army.
We got over the hostility
to foreigners thing a long time back !

Do you wrap the cord round the strain relief or something ?
