Reed switch and pulse.

Hi people.
Im looking for a way to count the pulses from a reed switch which can turn of a indicator on my m/c. Pref. Small in size. I can get a timed switch but its distance i need. So it wont stop the flasher when im at traffic lights. Ideas? Thanks. G.

Easiest to get a small microcontroller which can debounce the switch, count pulses and issue an on/off signal.
An ATTinyxx would sufice, but the learning curve is steep!

Just took it to be Motor Car...pays to be more specific.
However, motorcycles also use a pulse driven indicator cancelling device as standard.
Or perhaps it's a microcontroller......??
