REQUIRED A GTO

Hi all!

I  need a GTO which conducts  at 12 V anode supply and 10 V of gate supply and should be able to give atleast 40 Amps of current to drive automobile headlights.

I have been in electronics for 30 years but I have never hear of a GTO. What is one?

well GTO is a Gate Turn On Thyristor .Some people call it HEX FET....

Well I know a bit about hex fets and would never consider one to be a Thyristor.
