A small IC is something different.
The ofthen used method is a thermopile.
They go for 10$ @ 1. They produce some microvolts,
with a chopper opamp plus some temperature compensation
you're there.

I need to measure the temperature of a rotating part with a IR
temperature sensor. I just need to find the best one considering
performance and cost. It will interface to a PIC microcontroller.
