Soft on power problem Magnavox 27" Model HD2763 C401

Resoldering AC input circuits and IR, control button, and microprocessor
sections allow the set to power on normally for a few days.

Problem seams to be in the standby power supply going down after a while.

Any experience, suggestions?

A common problem with many Magnavox TV's is the 100UF 200V electrolytic
capacitor in the power supply goes bad. It is located near the heatsink
that holds the 5-pin STR voltage regulator IC. Very common failure.
