Sound Card Input

Hello GUYS,
   
I have a software of oscilloscope which allows to use sound card's line in port to use as input signal, I want to know the max input voltage of mic or line in port.

Please tell me what is right.

Read the datasheet fro he sound card.

Sound card oscilloscopes aren't good for much. They're limited to 2kHz and if you exceed the input voltage you can ruin your sound card or even motherboard. It's much better to buy a second hand oscilloscope.
