Steth tracer

I just recieved a seth tracer and I would like to see if it works, I am in need of a manual and any help any of you might think I need. I don't even know how to use it. hahaha
But seriously though, I want to know if and how it works if posible.

The Stethotracer is a signal tracer the size of a pen.
The literature I have for the Stethotracer ranges from 1962 through a sales receipt from 1974.
