Telephone Transmitter question for anyone

there is a line and circle just after "S1 switch" on input 2 that tells me it is some kind of wire and device.  What is it?  Is it a ground?  Thank you.

If you mean the circle to the left of S1 it’s a terminal (connection).

actually, I was looking at the small one at the top left.  it looks like a tail; above the input2 terminal circle and the connection is after the switch S1.

Oh, that one is the second half of the switch S1!  ;D
