Testing electronic components

Hi which components are not recommended to be tested while in circuit like i tested a bridge rectifier in circuit got no reading took it out and got a proper reading.

Without proper shielding (isolation) measures almost no component can be measured reliably in circuit. Other components usually influence your measurements.
These measures require special equipment. Therefore in most cases it is best to remove a component from the circuit before testing. Exceptions may apply depending on the construction of the circuit.
