Hello,

I haven't the end of stupid people. I remember a Woody Allen, movie,
and Woody, places a few magazines out to seem more intellegent to a
lady who's about to stop by his appartment. Well, at that point, Bill
Gates, didn't get filthy rich targeting a tiny little market. You go
to the software store, and you see an edition of windows that's two or
three years old for 99.99$ Then they want 250.00$ for this years
version. Well, I'm sure that vista will probably go for 400.00 to
475.00$ when the public first sees it. But, Windows XP, will be up for
a raw 99.99$. He ain't going broke, and in fact he's got more money
than he can count in his own lifetime. He's got so much of it, he can
afford to take a dumptruck full of ones, and just burn the pile. When
he thought of computers, he looked at em' like hamburgers, not
diamonds, and wanted everyone to have. So, when I go searching for a
Circuit Simulator, and see the prices these people are charging. It is
as if there isn't a single Trekki out there, and nobody wanted to
impress.

But, there are hobbiests, working on RC cars and airplanes that may
never care to do anything else or more. There are people that retain
an interest in the mathematics, but not the career choice. Then there
are schools, and people that own computers that do have an interest in
what goes on inside this thing. If they want to charge a mountian of
money, well, Hospitals are full of electronics, and they should have
every schematic of every device in a model, to best insure that when
the device fails, the problem can be tracked down without desoldering
resoldering the circuit board to death, and believe me, I've seen it.
There are radio broadcasters, television broadcasters, and all of them
have the same goal of staying on the air. If you don't know your
equipment when something goes wrong, you know where to look for the
problem. But, understanding it, having simulations to look over,
before you even start to desolder that joint, you could know that is
the problem without a question or reason for doubt. Sure, with time
and experiance you gather an eye, and feel for your work, but that
doesn't fix the circuit board you unplugged, and replaced. So, there
are plenty of reasons to charge more for software because, you would
have to draw all the schematics of major importantance.

Send a copy of this message to your favorite electronics magazine, or
software supplier, and let them know, engineers aren't the only ones
and nipping at the heels of the rich, won't make you that much richer.
How do think they got there? They saw the demand, but they didn't
destroy the market. There are students, schools, people all over the
place that are interested in all the good that come of, or be done with
electronics. Video games, memory cards, theory, circuits that prove
that theory, robotics. We need to change things, and hopefully,
some-one will get filthy fucking rich!

If you try and sell a spice for £50, no one will buy it. Been there.
However, I hardly think £190, is a lot:)

I'm reminded of Monty Python's "travel agent" sketch ...

"Yes I quite agree with you, I mean what's the point of being
treated like a sheep, I mean I'm fed up going abroad and being
treated like a sheep, what's the point of being carted around in
busses, surrounded by sweaty mindless oafs from Kettering and
Boventry in their cloth caps and their cardigans and their
transistor radios and their 'Sunday Mirrors', complaining about
the tea, 'Oh they don't make it properly here do they not like
at home' stopping at Majorcan bodegas, selling fish and chips
and Watney's Red Barrel and calamares and two veg and sitting in
cotton sun frocks squirting Timothy White's suncream all over
their puffy raw swollen purulent flesh cos they 'overdid it on
the first day'!"

Search for SPICE. They have a free student version ('PSpice'??). Although
a bit limited, it allows one to analyze AC R-L-C circuits and transformers
quite well. Work through the tutorial to figure out how to run the thing.
Also supports a limited number of semiconductors and such.

Max drivel snipped because I just can't justify the waste of bandwidth

Well the above rant just really proves that "The Flavored Coffee Guy" has
"more screws loose" than anyone ever expected. If we all just killfile
him he should just "Go Away"......

nutcase that I've had kill filed on a number of other newsgroups for
years.

There is nothing wrong with it that some study and trial and error won't fix
(especially so for basic stuff). It is a marvel for what it costs! It
often outperforms software costing hundreds of US dollars.

No, he posts a pile of crap that makes no sense and refuses to listen
when people that know what they are talking about tell him that his
warped ideas are not going to work. It looks like you're another know
nothing dreamer who thinks they can bend the laws of physics just
because you're too damn stupid to wrap your tiny mind around them. If
you think MY comments are nasty, just keep on hanging around
for a while so that someone can hand you
your head back to you in tiny pieces.

BTW, If I wanted revenge, why would I kill file him, or you? PLONK.

Odd, I never say anything unless I know by experiance. Experiance
being that I built one, and seen it with my own eyes. Second, I never
post without reference links to support whatever I've said, unless it
was a joke. Clean energy isn't on the list. I know for a fact that
allot of people will just glance at something over read an entire
article, or they won't even click on the link.

Suppose I have a box, and I know what is in it. I post on the internet
that I have a box, and if anyone wants look into it, they can, and they
can tell anyone what they found in it. Typically, in that form of
situation, where the links are provided, reference materials all come
from reputable sources, Colleges, Universities, Research Groups, and
not freaky web sites.

Like this one, that burried all of it's prize money...

What Does the above phrase mean ???
How does one killfile anyone ???

Doesn't the old programming term KILL apply here which
I understand means the same as DELETE.

If so then I can assume if you killfile someone
you are threatening them with death ???

TSK...TSK...TSK...and I thought you
Internet blokes were smarter than that.

You could start to increase your credibility quotient by learning to
construct sentences in the English language. You tend to write in a
particularly psychotic form that my mother used to call a "word salad."
Subjects and verbs and punctuation and other, even more esoteric things
cannot just be splattered randomly on the page.

Take a look at this excerpt, for example:
I know for a fact that
allot of people will just glance at something over read an entire
article, or they won't even click on the link.

Does that make sense, even to you? If so, please take a community
college course in English.

And those commas, in another recent post in this thread. Jeez, I've
never seen writing that reminded me so much of an epileptic seizure.

After you've learned to construct a sentence that actually makes sense,
then you can move ahead and try for a paragraph, with ideas following
some logical form.

Some of us on Usenet think your ideas are nonsense, but that shouldn't
detract you from voicing your opinion on things. Still, you have yet to
actually do that in any comprehendible way.

And stop top posting. You see, that's a perfectly good example of the
concept of the logical flow of ideas. This isn't "Memento," for Christ's
sake.

Killfile means to set up your newsreader filters so that messages from a
given author, in this case, do not appear. What you don't see can't
irritate you.
