Toslink female to 3.5mm male adaptor

Hi all,

I have problem using Toslink female to 3.5mm male adapter on my Toslink to
3.5mm optical fibre connecting between SB Live! 5.1 DE sound card using the
optical out port and mini disc.

So, how can I fix the problem?

The optical fibre work fine without the adaptor.
