USB 5v to 12v craft

my entire miniature model is set up for 12v leds and other lights.
i want to add a bubbler (fish tank aerator ) to mimic a bubbling pot.
how do i splice the 5v USB cord into my 12v output adaptor in a cost efficinet way.

connect the input side (12 V) of a car USB cigarette lighter adapter to the12 V output of your mains adaptor.

i am a crafter not an electician i dont undertsnad what you are saying.
my bubber ends in a usb connector
i want to then connect that to my main 12v wiring adaptor

A USB adapter for a car's cigarette lighter has a 12 V input. I marked "+" and "-" in the image below.
Then there is the USB receptacle as the output.


That's all you need.
Of course there is also a variety of modules that do the same job, like e.g. this one. Lots of similar devices easily available on your favorite shopping platform.
