My Grandfather worked for Weston. He constructed Standard Cells. I have two, one in a wooden box, and one cell, unused. He made them in 1935. I don't want to hoard them. They are surely of value to someone. The cell in the case still reads 1.0191Volts.

E-mail me for details, or respond here.

I don't know if someone would pay a lot for one per se, but one that has history to 1935, and is still reading would be pretty interesting to have.

Personally for the book and the working cell, I would say around $50-65 USD, you can buy newer ones (from the 50's/60's) for about $20-30, and the book can be found for around $10

I understand the history, my grandfather hung out with Edison...his dad would take him to work to meet him. He became an apprentice and went on to have the very first tv repair shop. I did not show the cell that is still in its original box and packing. These will most likely go to the Smitsonian where my great grandfather's work can be found. I just thought I'd give private people first shot.
