Will measuring the resistance of a capacitor damage it?

If I put a DMM across a capacitor (say 10 V rating) and measure the resistance, will the DMM increase voltage beyond the rating of the capacitor and cause damage?

Is that a snide way of saying no? My DMM is a Uni-T UT61E.

Most DMM's do not have the energy capable of doing damage to the majority of components.
You should have no problem using this Meter across the cap.

What about analogue MM's. They run on higher voltages?

The OP shows a simple DMM so I don't expect any voltage above 9v at high impedance.
