Hi frnds,I am student of b.tech 3rd year.I have got an idea but don't know whether it will workout or not.
Normally wind energy is produced using wind mills placing them at higher altitudes as wind movement will be more there. But when a train is moving with high speed can't we place them at side windows where the wind will flow at higher speeds.
I dont know whether it is a good or bad idea. Please help me out

As a 3rd year b.tech student you should understand the principle of Conservation of Energy. Any wind-turbine attached to the train will present drag, like a parachute brake used on some aircraft. That drag will oppose the train motion and hence result in an increase in the energy required to power the train.

And, since it is not 100% efficient, it will require more extra energy to power the train than you will get out of it.
