  1. Hi Staigen, You could be right. I wondered how the "SCR" came about. The SCRs that I see in a Google Image search do not appear in DIP packaging. Since the 4164s are 1-bit wide DRAMs, I don't think I can find much use for them. I will probably wire one up to a PIC to see if they really are 4164s. Thanks
  2. Hi, I am new to this forum and pretty new to the electronics world. I came across a bagful of 16-pin DIP marked with the following ... NEC Japan 8227EK213 D4164C NEC Japan 8414D5020 D4164C-3 NEC Japan 8350DD122 D416C-2 On the exterior of the bag is labelled with marker pen SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier)? Does anyone have any idea what these chips are? I have search NEC's site and all of google's results, but can't seem to find any relationships to SCRs. TIA. Kenneth
