I have an old stereo, and I'd like to put some new speakers on it. I planned to put a huge set of custom built boxes, with 4 subs and eight speakers. So I know I'll need to give the speakers their own power supply, and I need to know how to make this. I also planned to take the signals from the the stereo and put them into an amplifier. So I need to know if it would be as simple as sending the signals into a set af transistors, but I have a feeling it's not. I haven't selected the exact speakers yet, so I don't know what the wattage will be. As I'm sure one can tell, this project is still in the early planning stage.
