Hi, I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if someone has already covered this somewhere... I need to drop a 24-28v 800mA DC supply down to around 3-3.5v, causing as little excess heat as possible. I have tried a simple voltage regulator (LD1086V36) but it gets pretty hot (I can't really use a heat sink). Can anyone help? Many thanks!
