The received signal will have the transmitted frequency+ doppler shift and I think there difference has to be takem to get the audio frequency? ramsey says that for each mile per hr the target is travelling towards radar gun the doppler shift will be 7.76 .......Is it for ladar also? Any idea what these blocks r doing (Plz forgive me !I m really new to this but I want to learn(as much as possible))

there r two oscillators (two inverter c-mos type) Isn't it? Any idea what's the second one doing?

(free running oscillator in the display circuit) Can u point me where? the laser diode is receiving only the reflected frequency???? Doesn't it get mix with the transmitted frequency in air? If we have two inputs with different frequncies,is there any way that we get their difference???? how can we divide by 7.76 Hz using logic ics? Why LM324 is used?I mean what is it doing? Thanx

Audioguru, what about the radar gun crkt? ..... haven't u been able to open the attached files? About Digital Radar Speedometer:- I want to know why a high speed ttl is required? Why to amplify the signal? can 74LS be used instead of 74AS? I guess you didn't compare the datasheets: The AS is 5 times to 9 times faster than the LS. No,I didn't get to any such datasheet ...... only found 74LS..... I've read that 74HC series is fast but don't know the comparison b/w HC and AC....

Which one will be better? Were u able to open the files? After doing a lot of searching ,I only found two speedometers one here at electronics lab(laser) and the other one in this book(radar) ....... There seems to have no other option....... what will be the effect if 74LS is used in this crkt?.....

Can a PLL digital tunning(DIP Switches) crkt be added in any VCO tx? can it be done in this crkt ?
