I need help to design a simple countdown timer I would like to be able to select four different times 2mins, 5mins 10mins and 20mins. Once a time is selected I would like a visual representation using simple led lights. Then once the countdown is started the leds turn off after each minute. It has been suggested to me that I use a PIC to control the LEDs through FETs and resistors. Can anyone enlighten me a bit more? a circuit diagram would be great but any help will be most appreciated!
