  1. Also look at my reply's, they are simpler, uses only one IC. For 10 Amps use several transistors, and reduce the current thru LM317 to somewhere around 100 mA before the transistors start to conduct. Restrict the current thru the transistors to 2-3 Amps or so.

  2. There is something strange here, some dont have any trouble and others have!
When i was away for several weeks last year, i belive it lasted over the year change, i could not access E-lab either, and that lasted for several weeks! And i could not get in contact with any of you either, via email or chat! That reminds me, i have to save Mixos e-mail-adress.
Hey, Ante and Audioguru, cant you send me an e-mail, so i have your adresses, if something like that happens again? The adress is [email protected]

    Hi hotwaterwizard

I wonder what's happpened? It happend on sunday, first it became very slow, so i run a "tracert" and was also pinging the server, but that did not gave anything. The same happend the last time i disapeared for a while, and i could not reach the electronics-lab for several weeks, i tried almost every day! But, suddenly it came back again. ;D ;D ;D

    To Mixos!
What is your e-mail-adress, if this happens again, i can e-mail you and maybee help? You can send it as a personal message or as an e-mail to me.

  4. Hi Shahriar

As I Know, they send digital Data!

If you mean the intercoms i talked about, there isn't anything digital there, they come in the 1960:ies or so, and used AM in the beginning, and later FM, because of much noice and interference. And they used freqs around 100-200 Khz! They where fully analog!

For modulating Sound, I think 100Khz for carrier frequency is a little low, Isn't it?

No, even 100 Khz works just fine, it was not hifi! For hifi you maybee must go up to at least 400-500 Khz.

  5. Hi

I'm putting a NTC controlled cooling fan

Run the fan at full speed all the time instead, i suppose it is a fan from a computer.

How much less power? Can we calculate that?

Audioguru is much better in calculating this kind of things. We can ask him.
Hey Audioguru, what do you think?

  6. Hi there

I checked the voltage of the BDW 83/84 transistors and the C stands for 100V collector voltage and the D stands for 120V collector voltage!
This means that either the C or the D verson can be used in this cirquit!

Mickey, the tranny shall be a 2X28V/8A type, not a 2X23 Volt type! 3X4700uF/63V lytics will be just fine!

I have not built this amp, and will never do, there are better amps!
