  1. Hi Ante and Bjorn and all you others :), sorry i dont have been online for a week, but my computer chrashed :(, i belive it was some kind of virus, i am now at a friends computer and write this. I havent had any possibillitys to check anything at my solderstation this week :(, and not my computer either :(. Im going to upgrade the computer this comming week :), it will take almost the whole week, i belive. See you then, on my own computer, hopefully :). Staigen
  2. Hi Ante, i just measured the element cold, and its 12 ohms, but the temp sensor element seem to be a little high, 28 ohms. Do you know if it have a positive or negative temp coefficient? //Staigen
  3. Thanks tnk2k, thats what i needed, i belive. Also a shematic would be nice, hopefully Bjorn have one. Thank you all :) //Staigen
  4. Ok Ante, i will check that, but will the green light go out if the element i at fault? I dont think so, only the element will cool down and the led still lit all the time, but im not shure. //Staigen
  5. Thanks Björn(Bjorn) and Ante. The EC-2002 shematic seem so be similar to the WECP-20 (minus the display). Maybe you know by desciption whats wrong. This happens: when you switch it on the green lamp comes on and it start to heat, but in a minut or so the green lamp goes out and the tip is just only a little warm and start to cool down. //Staigen
  6. My Weller WECP-20 solderstation failed. Anyone got a sevice manual or at least a shematic for it? //Staigen
  7. Ok, so its a stopper then. How large should it be?
  8. Me to have problem with uploading picture, how? //Staigen
  9. What is the purpose of the resistor between the output from the 555 and the gate of the powerfet often seen in switching applications. See the picture below. //Staigen
  10. Thanks Ante, its nice to be back :)! And fun :D! //Staigen
  11. Im usally use ICQ :) //Staigen
  12. Hi there Skeith, your transformers voltage ratio is only slight over 31 to 1. You can try to use a 230V mains transformer, one that have a CT for 115 V. There is also transformer with 2 primaries, each 115V. The secondary shall be about 7 Volt( 6 Volt vill do). A transformer with a rating of 25 to 30 Watt should be used. You can also wind your own OPT ( OutPut Transformer). Good Luck :)! //Staigen
  13. Im probably going to build this one :), but i dont have all the comonents yet :(. The reason for the delay is that the PSU Mixos have and do some testing on, brooke down. He has now repaired it, and hopefully he can do further tests this week. //Staigen
  14. Hehe, me and MP was replying at the same time! And its both transmitter and receiver at the same time (tranceiver). The right and left output implies that it is some sort of direction circuit also. //Staigen
  15. Also only the middle diode is a infrared led, the outer two is IR reciver devices! Maybee a IR led can be used for reciving too? //Staigen
  16. Than i dont think its going to be a big problem, but a little moore info about the whole thing would help. A brief schematic for example. //Staigen
  17. Hi there. This question actually is confusing me a little, are you saying the frequenciy in the signal line is the same as the frequency in the power line and are syncronized? Or do you mean that there is a DC power line and a signal line running close to each other? //Staigen
  18. Hi Darinyou, it seems to be programed in basic, it says the prog also is downloadable from Nuts&Volts site. / If you would like to download the software listing, go to www.nutsvolts.com / //Staigen
  19. Ok. But that i dont know much about. Sorry i was disturbing, but i was curious. ;) :) :) :) //Staigen
  20. Hey Smaug, something come to my mind when i first see this topic, why not use an emittercoupled clapp-oscillator with a frequency around 200 to 600 Khz or so, with a capacitive sensor as part of the tuning capacitor, and using a 4046 ic to detect when the saltwater is reaching the sensor. I can upload a little schematic for you to show what i mean, if you want to. Btw, what is your tank made of? //Staigen
  21. ?? ??? I know what ras and cas is( Row Address Select and Column Address Select) . Used in addressing memory. I also know what cam is(Computer Aided Manufacturing), but i dont know what magic cam, matrix cam, bdm or jtag is either. ??? Sorry. A description please. //Staigen
  22. Hey John, dont you think this is a little too simple, how to interface this to the hall sensor for example? And how much current do BTW10-400 stand. I did a little search for data on it, but i did not find any. //Staigen
  23. I dont think thats what Mr Morrison requested, but i also think we need moore input from Mr Morrison. What type of motor driving the engine for example. Some motors is not very suitable for variable rpm. Excuse me if i am wrong. //Staigen
  24. A constant current diode maybe, but i dont think they can go all the way down to 0 Volt. //Staigen
