  1. Not only can you use a PC power supply as a handy bench power supply, but if you get one that doesn't work, you can take the guts out and have a nice metal project box, with IEC power connector, switch, and fan if needed. I've also found nice boxes from old network gear (switches, hubs, modems, ... ) work nice. P.S. If you are a scavenger like me, both offer a lot of parts for your projects.
