  1. should i just use a flywheel UPS?? i have read some sites about it and it could really provide continuous operation for hours. you could see about it at this site and let me know your suggestion, http://www1.eere.energy.gov/vehiclesandfuels/pdfs/deer_2009/session7/deer09_lagrandeur.pdf i also read about thermoelectric transducers that provide 500 W of power but it needs a high temperature you could use an ordinary TEG but it could only supply a very low power unless you put it in series but that'll cost me so many bucks.. please help me.. i urgently need help.. i only got 3 months to make this dream project a reality..
  2. i just want to extend the battery lifespan of UPS using renewable energy and that is my main goal... i nor sure with TEGs if it could supply the UPS to extend its battery life so i want to know other ways to extend its lifespan.. and i cant use petrol nor diesel because i could only use renewable energy and i think it is by using transducers...i can't use solar energy because the panel says it is very common to use they want it something different... >_<
  3. i'm an ECE student and i'm having a project for my terminal year and the suggested topic for our group for the project design is " Development of an Enhanced UPS System" and the recommendation is "comparative study of existing UPS with the proposed design(longer life)".. extending battery life by using reusable energy or probably using transducers (ex. turning heat energy to electrical, etc.) In our project we suggested to use TEG (thermoelectric generator) and my question is can it charge the battery efficiently?? or will it charge the battery for it to extend the battery much longer..coz ordinary UPS could only last for 10-20 minutes depending on what load you will be using on our case we decided to use an offline UPS which is most often used by many, specially in computer units. i know there is a common way of extending the battery life of UPS by adding up battery but they want us to use reusable energy.. is there any other way to extend the battery life of the UPS by using reusable energy?? is this project possible?? knowing that it should be charging while using it and extend its battery lifespan and suggested that it should be, i think 50% efficient than the ordinary UPS... i'm sorry if I ask too much..i hope someone will help me!! please poh!!! prang awa nyo na!! hehe ;D
