I am considering buying a piece of equipment that needs 220V source. I am renting and will only be here for another 8 months and do not like the idea of paying an electrician to tap in the source box to run the 220 line from the laundry room to the studio which is about 40 feet. I have seen 220V extension cords, are these acceptable
