  1. I have a portable turntable made by panasonic I used to dig for old records but the amount of power I get from D batteries doesn't seem like enough. I don't have the schematics for the turntable neither. It says on the little metal plate that its an 8-transistor radio phono model sg-553, the ac is 117v 60 c/s 5.5w, battery six "D" size batteries(9v). Is it incredibly hard to rig something like this up? It would be nice to do it so that when I connect the turntable via its plug it recharges the battery, just like most products today, and the battery in turn feeds the table. Iam thinking perhaps pull the back of an old camera off and re-wire it to the table but iam sure there is much more to do than that. Is this something common? Iam not much of a hardware guy, iam a computer science major, but I can solder. Thanks, -Adrian
